The Challenge
At the beginning of 2021, North Hampshire CCG (now NHS Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight CCG) were tasked with rolling out the COVID-19 vaccination in their area to over 217,000 people.
Given the nature of the service – much like the Extended Access services starting this October for PCNs around the country – there was no designated workforce assigned to the task.
The CCG needed to pull together locums, volunteers and practice staff – and then onboard them onto one, simple platform to allow for efficient planning, simple communication and oversight of staff skills, compliance and availability. Oh, and they had two weeks to find something, set up and get going.
Simple, right?
Well, it was with Rotify.
The Solution

The Results
Rotify has played a key part in over 400,000 vaccine doses being delivered in the area, facilitating 16,000+ shift bookings for 500+ staff across 14 locations.
For any software deployment to be a success, the users need to love it and want to use it – especially when those users are largely volunteering their time. Liz Mayon-White, Operations Manager, told us ‘Feedback from the staff has been really positive’.
She also commented, “Rotify has been really useful in the running and management of over 500 staff.
